At Luminaria Candle Co., we believe that home should feel comforting, intentional, and full of small luxuries. Our journey began as a family of four searching for clean, beautifully scented candles we could feel good about around both our human and furry babies. High-quality candles were often expensive—and not always as fragrant as promised—so we started making our own. That’s when we fell in love with the science behind candle making.

Blending our scientific background with a passion for creativity, we also embrace AI-powered formulation to help design and refine many of our fragrance blends. This allows us to craft scents that are both unique and consistent, offering an elevated sensory experience at an accessible price.

What began as a personal project quickly grew into a mission to bring affordable luxury to everyday homes. Luminaria Candle Co. lives under the heart of Academic Family, where we share stories about life, parenthood, resilience, and the search for home. You can read more of our journey here.

Our family’s experiences also shaped our purpose. Our “Academic Baby” was born prematurely after a HELLP syndrome pregnancy, and we hope to one day give back by donating a portion of our profits to the Preeclampsia Foundation, supporting other families facing similar challenges.
